while in atlanta i visited the high museum.
i loved this museum.
the galleries were the perfect size,
and i loved the collection of folk art.
but,
it was in the basement, that i discovered my new favorite artist.
her name is kiki smith.
ive never come across her work before this week,
and i cant wait to go back to ny and see her gallery at the moma.
she had two pieces that i especially loved.
white mammals
and
destruction of birds.
(the photos i posted are part of these pieces)
not sure why, but these two especially were so inspiring to me.
gonna be on a hunt to find prints of these…
if you are in atlanta, go look at them, they are up til the end of january.
